According to a recent report by the Pew Research Center, about 1 in 5 teachers surveyed said major problems include students getting up and walking around when they're not supposed to and being disrespectful.


Harmony In Schools was born out of a passion to help high school students struggling with stress in 2008. Now educators are struggling.

I have a solution that can help educators, and ultimately students.

RESEARCH DEMONSTRATES DYNAMIC RESULTS

Using qualitative research analysis methods, 75 student narratives about mindfulness were coded, categorized, and synthesized into themes.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Marykay has a passion for equipping individuals with tools to improve their mental, emotional, physical, and social health to restore wellness. For 18 years, this beloved and accomplished educator provided staff and students with effective techniques to help lower stress, anxiety, and depression. She is an expert in social and emotional strategies and has an alternative approach to help individuals reclaim their lives and avoid burnout. She is a certified yoga and Pilates instructor, holds a B.S. in Health and Physical Education, and a Masters of Art in teaching Secondary Education. She realizes the importance of daily meditation and restorative practices, and since retiring in 2020, her vision is to bring these life saving modalities to a wider audience.
